Indian Black Turtle or Sri Lanka 'Hard-shelled' Terrapin (Melanochelys trijuga). Sub-species, thermalis, from Sri Lanka. Orange- yellow head markings help distinguish this race. Otherwise species found widely from Myanmar (Burma), to Sri Lanka, including much of Pakistan, India, south Vietnam.
