The machine consists of apipe holder, which securely clamps the fixed end of the pipe, and a bend-ing lever operated by hand for giving thepipe the proper form. The lever is vided with two grooved wheels pivoted sothat the flanges just clear, thus leaving anopening between the bottoms of thegrooves of the same size and shape as thepipe. The lower wheel is of such size asto give the pipe the proper radius after itis bent, the bending being accomplished bythe upper wheel, which is rolled around thelower one.
