160616-N-KK394-007 MEDITERRANEAN SEA (June 16, 2016) – The guided-missile destroyer USS Mason (DDG 87) makes its approach to the Italian replenishment oiler ITNS Etna (A5236) prior to an alternative fuel replenishment-at-sea, a part of the Great Green Fleet initiative. Mason, deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, is conducting naval operations in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe.
