World War One British recruiting and propaganda poster featuring the symbolic John Bull character pointing at the viewer with the question “Who’s absent? Is it you?”. The poster, which has burning buildings and a line of soldiers with gaps in it in the background, was issued by the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee in 1915. The artist was Alfred Leete (1882 – 1933).
