The revolving fans or vanes arereduced to round pins at the small ends and fitted tightly into holes bored in the head ofthe spindle, all the vanesbeing turned to have thesame slant. Care will berequired to bore theseholes so that the vaneswill be equidistant and re-volve in the same line. The weather-vane is setin a slanting groove cut.
