The department was greatly indebted to many commercial growers, who gener- ously contributed to the great success by sending flowers. The number of visitors who attended the show was es- timated at 5,000, among whom were several growers. Medals were awarded to the follow- ing: Elmer J. Weaver, Ronks, Pa., for Snowstorm sweet peas and seventy-five Pilgrim roses; Charles M. Weaver, Bonks, Pa., for the best collection of small chrysanthemums; Elmer D. Smith & Co., Adrian, Mich., for new introduc- tions of chrysanthemums; Pittsburgh Cut Flower Co., Pittsburgh, for a dis- play of chrysanthemums and roses; S. OAK PARK, ILL.
