Army Reserve Capt. Don Fontaine explains the bone marrow donation process during a bone marrow donor drive at the Fort Bragg Blood Donor Center at Fort Bragg, , Oct. 23, 2013. Fontaine is hoping to raise awareness and register Soldiers and civilians as potential bone marrow donors in the National Bone Marrow registry. He was inspired to raise awareness about the donor program after his nine-year-old nephew was diagnosed with Juvenile Xanthogranuloma, or JXG. Patients with JXG can have lesions on the skin, in the eye, bones, and internal organs.
