The earliest and choicest vines being selected for stock each season, this strain has been so impro\ ed that it fully bears out our claim as the best extra early strain ever otTered. The vines are quite slender, of very quick growth, averaging eighteen inches in height. They bear a heavy crop of fine well- filled pods, a\ eragiiig three inches in length, nearly all of which can be gathered generally in one picking and always in two. This is an important feature for market gardeners who cannot afford to go over the rows several times for small quantities of pods.
