161014-N-ZI635-713 BALTIMORE (Oct. 14, 2016) Capt. Scott Tait, executive officer, Petty Officer 1st Class Clair Dabrowski, and Petty Officer 2nd Class William Pause transport the urn of retired Col. Michael Spiro aboard future USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000). Col. Spiro was the long time aide-de-camp of Adm. Elmo Zumwalt, the ship namesake. Zumwalt, the lead ship of a class of next-generation multi-mission destroyers designed to strengthen naval power from the sea, will be commissioned Oct. 15 in Baltimore.
