The incidents of thisweek and the general bearing of tendenciesare in the same drift as ever. A commonplace run of trade is the report on all groceries are singularly slow in get-ting into motion. The sugar trade is back-ward, orders in at this time being usuallylarge and numerous in other years, every-body aiming to have his wants registered intime for early attention, so that there maybe no dead-lock when the consumers begintheir midsummer clamor for supplies. Teahas quite as good sale as it commonly has sonear the end of thefapan crop year. Cannedgoods are active, Valencia raisins are active,but this term can hardly be applied to any-thing else. The weather has probably beensomewhat to blame because things are notfarther on, and roads are anything but goodin country district
