Further north still is theresidence of the matron and nurses on the west, and aseparate residence for the maids on the east. At thenorthern extremity is a small laundry for casual use, theintention being that the general laundry work shall bedone elsewhere. There is at the south-east end another. The fittings are complete in every respect. Tl:cbuildings are lighted throughout by electricity and theheating and hot-water supplies are by gas. The hospital is designed as a temporary building whichcould be removed if desired to France or elsewhere. Thefurniture and equipment could be packed up at shortnotice.
