Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives, in GeneralCourt assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows : Section 1. The Chief Engineer and the Assistant Engineers ofthe Fire Department of the City of Lowell may be removed at any timeby the Mayor and Aldermen. Section 2. This act shall take effect upon its by the Governor, March 23, 1868.
