This image may not be used to state or imply ESA endorsement of any company or product Grounded iceberg. Satellite image of iceberg B-15A (lower right) run aground in the McMurdo Sound, Antarctica, kilometres away from colliding with the Drygalski ice tongue, a floating pier of ice (lower left). At around 120 kilometres in length and with an area of more than 2500 square kilometres, iceberg B-15A is the world's largest floating object. It is the largest remaining segment of iceberg B-15, which broke away from the Ross Ice Shelf in March 2000. Photographed on 15 January, 2005, by the ESA's Envisat satellite.
