3 February 2013, Aberystwyth, Wales, UK. Y Bont, a Welsh language drama by Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru, set around the streets of Aberystwyth celebrates 50 years since the first protest by Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg (Welsh Language Society), which proved a turning point for the status of the language, and which motivated a generation to support civil disobedience on behalf of Welsh culture. The audience/participants follow a path around the town where the 1963 protests are re-enacted.
