Muslim tombs in the Fatimid Cemetery, Aswan City, Egypt

The Fatimid Cemetery in Southern Aswan. Islamic and Muslim funerary architecture in a graveyard known as The Fatimid Cemetery. Majority of tombs date from Tulunid times. Some domes built on a drum shape building with protruding corners looking like horns – a unique design to Upper Egypt. Some tombs are 1000 years old.
