5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (June 2, 2017) Sonar Technician (Surface) 2nd Class Jacob Vincent pins the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist (ESWS) pin on Naval Aircrewman 3rd Class Phillip Ferreira during a ceremony aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Truxtun (DDG 103). Truxtun is part of the George Bush Carrier Strike Group deployed in the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
