Spectacled caiman (Caiman crocodilus). Submerged in water. This reptile inhabits wetlands in Central and South America. It is exclusively carnivorous, feeding on fish, water birds and amphibians, and taking larger prey such as pigs when fully grown. An adult male can reach a length of around metres, with females rarely exceeding metres. Photographed in Costa Rica.
