Temple berries are firmer than either Sparkle or Fairland. As a shipping berry in eastern Maryland, Temple has become the most widely grown of all varieties even on soil not infected with red stele. Temple berries are very good in quality, better than Premier and Catskill, not as good as Fairfax and Fairpeake. While Temple has not been well received in limited trials as a freezing berry it has become very popular very quickly as a garden and shipping berry in this section. Price list, page 31.
