Wooden figures of Romeo and Juliet perform at the Glockenspiel Clock Tower, Stratford, North Island, New Zealand

The glockenspiel housed in the clock tower in Stratford is the only one of its kind in New Zealand. The glockenspiel is played four times daily for about five minutes after the hour is sounded. The music is accompanied by scenes from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, acted out by wooden figures in the windows of the tower.
