Delta II Rocket Launch
Launch of a Delta II rocket carrying the Gravity Probe-B experiment into orbit from Vandenberg Air Force Base, California, April 20, 2004. The experiment, a project between NASA and Stanford University to test Einstein's theory of relativity, measured the spacetime curvature near Earth, and thereby the stress-energy tensor in and near Earth.
