The main column bars extend from the con-struction joint at the level of the crown of the roadway to thetop of the top girder. Each one of these column bars is wiredto a footing bar which extends from the bottom of the footingsto a height of 4 feet 6 inches above the construction joint, thusfurnishing continuous reinforcemen
