Sizewell Nuclear Power Station owned by the French company EDF on the Suffolk coast, England. 15 May 2011. 180 degree panorama photograph made from 5 images merged together. Sizewell A is the grey square structure and was shut down in 2006. Sizewell B is the the PWR, pressurised water reactor with the white dome and came on line in 1995. The area to the right of Sizwell B, in the photograph, is the possible site of a proposed new reactor, Sizwell C. The Sizwell complex sits above sand dunes covered in Marram grass which rises above the pebble covered sea shore.
