The routerecommended is from the present subway station at 149th St. andThird Ave., down Lexington Ave. and Irving Place to 15th St.,thence west to Union Square, and down Broadway, circling throughChambers St. to William St., and swinging westerly across BroadSt. and Battery Park to Greenwich St., and then uptown by wayof West Broadway and Washington Square, to Greenwich Ave., toSeventh Ave., to 34th St., thence down 34th St., connecting withthe proposed East Side line at Lexington Ave., meeting the presentsubway again.
