Passenger list - 'Moreton Bay' sailed 12 July 1927. SS Moreton Bay was built in 1921 for the Australian Commonwealth Line, operating between London and Brisbane. She was sold to the White Star Line in 1938 and continued in the same service. In 1939 she was requisitioned by the Royal Australian Navy and converted to an armed merchant cruiser and in 1941 converted to a troop ship. She took part in the North Africa and European campaigns and reverted to commercial service in 1946. Her final voyage was in 1956 and she was scrapped in April 1957.
