Cycas circinalis or the queen sago in flower


Queen Sago A large cycad species with attractive, feathery leaves the queen cycad can reach 6m and form a multi-branched crown. It is originally from equatorial Africa. The dark green, pinnate leaves grow to with gracefully recurved leaflets. It is among the fastest growing of the cycads and rapidly becomes a feature in any garden. The toxic seeds have been used to make edible flour but this is now believed to be poisonous.
