In luxation of the sternal. end forwards, the dislodged extremity is plainly seen and felt infront of the sternum, whilst the backicard displacement leaves ahollow at the superior edge of the sternum ; whilst a tumour, formedby the end of the bone, may be felt at the root of the neck. In luxation of the scapular extremity the shoulder is depressed,and the end of the clavicle may be felt above the acromion process.
