For the purpose of providing against blockades frombreakdowns on the road each motorman is given a tool-box, which is numbered with his badge, and for which heis responsible. This box is equipped with all the toolsnecessary for above repairs on the road. While it is notthe companys purpose to allow the motormen to do any-thing except emergency work on the cars, they are given. STANDARD INTERURBAN CAR a training sufficient, it is believed, to enable them to gettheir cars into the station under ordinary conditions.
