Vertical close up of the decorative south clock face of Big Ben against a bright blue sky on a sunny day. The tower was built in the Victorian Gothic style by Sir Charles Barry in 1852 and measures 316 feet high. More affectionately known as Big Ben this actually refers to the bell, cast in 1856.
