Whale Shark (Rhincodon typus) Horizontal full body view of a 10 meters individual filter feeding plankton at night. We had some fairly strong lights (more than 1,000 volts in total) overboard, illuminating the water column, to facilitate the accumulation of plankton, in the hope of attracting one of these magnificent giants. At 2 in the morning we got lucky, and Mr. Big visited us. I was swimmimg with it (diving with whale sharks is forbidden) for more than 1 hour. Thaa Atoll, Maldives
