Easter in Campo de Calatrava. A Nazarene waiting for procession of the virgin of Hope, Holy Wednesday


In the center of the province of Ciudad Real, in the region of Campo de Calatrava celebrates one of the most important Holy Week in Castilla-La Mancha, this celebration was declared of Regional Tourist Interest in 2007. It is important for their performances and the groups of "Armaos". The "Armaos" are religious brotherhoods organized as a military companies, reminiscent of Baroque soldierly began to proliferate throughout Spain during the seventeenth century. Roman companies in the region were created at different times, but with the same purpose: to guard Jesus our Lord in Holy Week.
