Farquhar & Co. there is a notable dis- play of Lilium myriophyllum, or regale, there being several acres now in bloom. The stalks carry as many as fifteen to twenty blooms each. Coldframes with multitudes of seedlings are also coming on. There are smaller batches of L. Sar- gentia;, which blooms a little later, L. Henryi and L. Thayerae. Patrick Welch has a fine display of Lilium regale at his store and is ship- ping many to distant points. He also has excellent Cattleya Mendelii, valley. Beauty roses and sweet peas. E. P. Matsen, of Eeading, is bringing in fine batches of sweet williams, lark- spurs, sweet peas and asparagus. Miss R. A. Washington, one of the few lady growers for the Boston market, is cutting fine crops of gaillardias, cos- mos and bachelor's buttons. Her green- houses are in North Stoughton.
