The discoveries made in our graves from that time areremarkable for great variety of objects, weapons and ornaments,implements and tools for mans as well as wormans of these varieties of implements have, with but few alte-rations, been in use among our peasantry up to the latest times. In case 39 are several objects found in graves which affordspecial interest by showing us foreign coins, which enable us tofix their exact age. In one place we find 6 Frankian coins(of Charlemagne and Louis the Pious) and one Anglo-Saxon(from about y. 800). They have all been pierced and thus inNorway been used as ornaments.
