UK transportation company Riversimple revealed their 250 mpg hydrogen-powered car for the masses, called name Rasa is a nod to that blank sheet of paper – Tabula Rasa means 'Clean slate' in Latin and is set to go into market trials later this year as part of the FCH JU funded project SWARM. Two seater 'network electric' car, powered by a hydrogen fuel cell with total weight of just 520kg, which facilitates a low-powered hydrogen fuel cell and four electric motors - one for each wheel. It has a potential range of up to 300 miles (482 km) on of hydrogen - a fuel-economy equivalent of 250mpg. Riversimple will produce a run of 20 trial Rasas to be used by individuals later this year, in what it calls a beta trial. It will be available on a contract that includes all the associated running costs, including fuel. All kinds of people will be able to choose a fuel cell car and drive away without leaving an invisible trail of pollution
