Gurlts collection published in 1864 contained 47cases, Dr. Hunt ^ collected and analyzed 27 cases but did not give thedetails, and Henoque ^ collected 52 cases, to which Mr. Durham^ added10, making 62 in all, or including 4 of Gurlts in which the tracheaalone was injured, QQ. Piatt^ reports one terminating fatally bybroncho-pneumonia in three days, and Stephens^ one combined withfracture of the hyoid, followed by death in a few minutes.
