Remains of an unexploded "Toffee Apple" or "Plum Pudding" mortar bomb from WW1 laying in a field in Pas-de-Calais, France

This unexploded bomb, laying in a field near a military cemetery at Pas-de-Calais in France, is a WW1 2-inch "toffee-apple" or "plum pudding" mortar round. The barrel, into which a 'stick' would have been fitted (giving it its toffee-apple appearance), has been recently sheared off—very possibly by a farmer's plough. Potentially extremely dangerous, toffee-apple bombs contained explosives or gas.
