Landgoed De Utrecht. Brandtoren and woodvesterswonin Annotation: The estate owes its name to the life insurance company De Utrecht, Insurance NV. From 1898, the company exploited the vast moors on a large scale. On May 25, 1899, the first 700 ha was started. The works were performed by the Heideme. Eventually, the heath was converted into 1800 hectares of forest and 600 hectares of farmland, while 400 hectares of natural land continued to exist.
