The surface temperature inside the bay was higher than for the outside waters. Cold surface water was present at the onset of the event, foUowed by a propessive heating up in 2°C at ali stations over the time length of the event. On the second day a 10 degrees isoterm was interrupted: a core was retained on the bay bottom and the shelf isoterm was sinking down to a depth of 65 m.
