Built in Gothic style by the Franciscans at the end of the 13 th century. Of interest is the Polish Pax symbol which is quite different to the more common European one. The former Hanseatic town was the birth Place of Mikolaj Kopernik ( Nicolaus Copernicus ) the famous astronomer.
