Church of St. Gregory and the Church Shop on Polyanka - Moscow, Russia

Angled view from the opposite side of Polyanka Street on the beautiful church of St. Gregory, Bishop of Neocaesarea, and the building of the church shop at a beautiful summer day with white cumulus clouds. The stone temple in the style of "Russian patterning" was built in 1668-1679 at the expense of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, who got married here in an unfinished temple with Natalia Naryshkina, and then they baptized thier son Peter, who later became the first Russian emperor. The Church of St. Gregory struck the beauty of Napoleon in 1812 and suffered a fire and the French invasion of Moscow without loss. Before the revolution of 1917, this amazing church, built in the old Russian style with onion domes, kokoshniks and other old architectural details, had the status of a court temple and was therefore often visited by members of the royal family.
