Hermione frigate sailing between La Rochelle and Rhé Island (île de Ré) before heading to America on April 18th, 2015. The Hermione achieved fame by ferrying General Lafayette to the United States in 1780. The Hermione - La Fayette association launched a project of reconstruction of the Hermione frigate, the ship which allowed La Fayette to join the American insurgents in the struggle for their independence in 1780. The Hermione's first voyage in 2015 will take her across the Atlantic again, from France to Boston, USA (Not available for postcards, calendar, advertorial purpose)
