Devotees raise their hands for the holy flower offered by priest as after pulling the chariot of the Rato Machindranath deity from Lagankhel to Thati tole on Tuesday, May 09, 2017. As per time honored tradition, the chariot is pulled exclusively by women. This part of the chariot procession is known as Yakah Misaya Bhujya. Rato Machindranath is also said as the 'god of rain' and both Hindus and Buddhists worship the Machindranath in hope of good rain to prevent drought during the rice plantation season.
