The then ultra-modern Show Boat Roadhouse Maidenhead,England, just after its construction in 1933. Built as a fashionable motoring destination, and was known as the 'Palm Beach of Maidenhead'. Its architect, Eric Norman Bailey was known for designing art-deco cinemas in a similar style. In later years the Showboat became a hang-out for US Officers and service men and still later a Spitfire plane wing and industrial unit before standing empty.
