The monastery of St. Jeroni de la Murtra is an old monastery of the Order of Jeromes located in the valley of Poià or Betlem, in the range of Marina, Canyet district of the town of Badalona (Barcelona). The monastery was founded in 1416 and received the patronage during the past years Trastamaras and the first Austrias built mainly in Gothic style, the monastery was built in different periods; stands out as the most monumental cloister. He served in its original function until 1835, when it confiscated, burned, partially destroyed and then sold.
