These are the only thingsfrom Lincoln in Neills collec-tion, which was given to Mac-alester when Neill died at theage of 70 in 1893. Turck, school president. The lock of hair,dark brown with a few gray strands, was obtained byDr. Edward D. Neill, founder of Macalester college in1874, when he was Lincolns secretary in charge of landgrants. The card was written by Dr. Neill asking himto give a disabled Civil War veteran a job. ST.
