Central courtyard Villa Cicogna Mozzoni Bisuschio near Varese The Mozzoni family in 1400 built a hunting lodge in Bisuschio Between 1500 and 1559 the Mozzoni s enlarged the Villa After 1560 they charged the Campi brothers from Cremona to fresco the palace In 1580 Angela the only descendant of the Mozzoni s married Giampietro Cicogna in this way founding the family which still owns the villa today It is a classical example of a rural Renaissance villa surrounded by an Italian garden The garden was the decision of Ascanio Mozzoni d 1593 This work was continued by Carlo Cicogna Mozzoni 1618 1690
