Siege from Groningen, 1672; Siege of Groeninge. The Siege of Groningen by the bishops of Cologne and Munster during the months of July and August of the year 1672. The composition has been taken from the print of Romeyn de Hooghe (FMH 2383). A new element is the presence of the bishops with their consequence, right in the foreground. Details in the performance are indicated by figures 1-18 that are explained in the legend at the top right.
