Before the building of the original church the present rector, the Rev. Horace S. Bishop, S. T. IX,ed his gratuitous services as minister in charge, which were gratefull) accepted by the parish]and a few years later he was regularly called as rector, which position he has since held. The result ofhis labors may be seen in the strong parish and beautiful church now building. He is ably as-tsted b) the Rev. Alexander Allen, late dean of one of the convocations of Colorado. Resihenci on Arlington Avenue. the burning of the old church, the vestry resolved to erect a new one of stone, complete in its appoint-ments, worthy of East Orange and of its sacred purposes. The building is substantially constructed of Indiana limestone, and will cost, furnished, about$100,000, and includes in its plan all the arrangements necessary for parish work, such as chapel, guild, choir and vestry rooms. An or-gan valued at $10,000 is beingconstructed for the Church. Thepews and interior woodwork areof quartered oak. The chancelis forty feet wide by the samedepth, and will be particularlyrich in its furnishings. The altarand wains-cotting will be ofSienna marble, the chancel railwill also be of marble, while thefloor will be laid 111 Mosaic mar-ble pavement ; the choir stallsand clergy seats will be of an-tique quartered oak.
