Strip of bobbin lace with horizontal branch above open-worked oval, Natural strip of bobbin lace: Lille lace. The repeating pattern for the upper half of the strip consists of a row of loose twigs with a configuration of four square meshes in between. The lower half of the pattern consists of a row of branches, with two flowers on either side and two curling leaves in the middle on either side. The lower sheet forms a cut-away oval along the underside of the strip. The motifs are connected to each other by a fine grid, a lawn. The motifs are made in linen, with thicker, shiny contour threads.
