MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Jan. 03, 2014) - Gas Turbine Systems Technician (Mechanical) 3rd Class Kathren Shost uses a Naval Firefighting Thermal Imager (NFTI) to search the engine room for hot spots during a general quarters drill aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Stout (DDG 55). Stout, homeported in Norfolk, Va., is on a scheduled deployment supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 6th Fleet area of operation.
