Pressure in oppositedirections is thus accomplished, while the balancing of thetwo forces prevents the anchor tooth from turning. Theappliance is too small to in any way interfere with speech orocclusion. DOUBLE TORSION. Where two adjoining teeth, as the superior centrals, areto be rotated in opposite directions, a single appliance willoften accomplish both movements at the same time.
